This 1953 Fender Deluxe (5C3) is the ultimate "player’s grade" wide-panel tweed amp—heavily road-worn on the outside, but professionally overhauled and stage-ready on the inside.

The Exterior

The original diagonal-stripe tweed has a deep, authentic patina with significant fraying and staining from decades of use. The solid pine cabinet remains structurally sound, housing the original chrome chassis which shows natural pitting and oxidation.

The Circuit & Service

Recently inspected and serviced for peak reliability, the internal signal path has been refreshed while preserving its legendary "Octal" voice:

• Recapped: All electrolytic filter and bypass capacitors have been replaced to ensure a quiet noise floor and tight low-end response.

• Retubed: A fresh, matched set of tubes has been installed, including the correct 6SC7 preamp tubes for that thick, harmonically rich 50s saturation.

• Safety: Updated with a grounded three-prong power cable.

The Speaker

A premium 1959 Jensen 12" Alnico speaker has been installed. This 1959-coded driver is a highly desirable period upgrade, offering smoother high-end breakup and a more robust midrange than the 1953 originals.
